Curi-Cancha is a paradise for bird watchers. The resplendent quetzal, the three-wattled pavilion, the blue-crowned motmot, the orange-bellied trogon, and many others are frequently seen. I (Captain Matt) along with my crew member take our guests out for an incredible experience on the waters in and around Sitka Sound viewing the breathtaking scenery and enjoying diverse wildlife encounters! You may see many if not all of the following wildlife, Humpback whales, Sea Lions, Sea Otters, Harbor Seals, Ravens, Bald eagles, shearwaters, cormorants, 2 types of puffins, and many other sea birds too numerous to mention. Bears are regularly viewed in the late summer early fall, and occasionally viewed in the spring. As I have had a long career commercial fishing in Southeast Alaska, I give unique insight into the local fishing industry. Both my crew and I will also enlighten you on local history and life in Sitka. To ensure your experience is genuine, my crew is always either one of my family, or a local hire that truly knows Sitka. We live it year round!!


Sunset & Wildlife Tour


Destination: Sámara.
The SUNSET tour is a 3 hour quad tour combining mountain and beach around Samara. The tour starts at 3pm and end up with an amazing sunset.  Please note that the rainy season is from May to end of November. Rain normally starts in the afternoon. The mountain and beach tour starting at 8 am or 2 pm is preferable.
